A day in the life of an American family who come together to put a beloved husband and father to rest. As mourners gather at the family home, shocking revelations, festering resentments, ugly threats, blackmail and a misdirected corpse unleash lethal mayhem. REVIEW “Death at a Funeral†was fun but it wasn’t drop dead funny. I’ve seen the original and Chris Rock’s remake is very-very similar. The trailer leads you to believe that you’re going to pee in your pants, but the movie never really climaxed to that level. To be quite honest, I’m still not sure whose version is better, British or American… hmmm. “Death at a Funeral†had its laughs but I wasn’t cracking up until probably the last 10 minutes; which is when the movie finally comes to a head. “Death at a Funeral†is filled with an all-star cast so of course that makes more enjoyable to watch. If you want to have some fun at the theater then I say check it or you can sit back and wait for it to come out on Blu-ray/DVD. Either way you should enjoy it. ~Dana Da Designated Hata® aka Nobody’s Fan®
