Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Rachelle Lefevre, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Dakota Fanning, Anna Kendrick, Michael Sheen
"New Moon" starts out in celebration of Bella Swan's (Kristen Stewart) 18th birthday celebration at the home of her vampire boo, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and his family. However, things go from good to bad when her blood is accidentally shed. In an attempt to protect Bella from their world, the Cullen’s decide to abandon the town of Forks, Washington for good. A heartbroken Bella can’t get over the heartache, and basically sleepwalks through her senior year of high school until she discovers that Edward comes to her when she puts her life in jeopardy. Bella’s desire to be with him at any cost leads her down a risk-taking path that could lead to her death. With the help of her childhood friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Bella decides to refurbish an old motorbike so that she can continue to see Edward will continue to come to her when she’s acting reckless. However, Bella's slowly begins to realize is that her heart doesn’t hurt as much when she’s with Jacob who also has a couple secrets of his own.   When a chance encounter brings Bella face to face with a former nemesis, only the intervention of a pack of large supernatural wolves managed to save her. However, it has become frighteningly clear to Bella that she is still in grave danger and that she’s putting Jacob in danger. In a race against the clock, Bella learns the secret of the Quileute tribe and the true reason why Edward left her behind. While you don’t have to see part one to understand part two, it would help you to connect some of the story dots just a little bit better. Overall I thought that “New Moon†was a little over rated based on all the media hype surrounding it. Personally, I was hoping that the romantic vampire tale would be a lot more engaging and filled with about 25% more CGI. I feel as though I have been slightly hoodwinked…although I’m not entirely mad about it (go figure). Shout out to Taylor Lautner the Werewolf hottie of New Moon. I have to co-sign that this 17-year-old boy’s body is “some kind of beautifulâ€, and I’m not afraid to admit it. So much so that it made the entire theater gasp, out loud, at the same time, at the site of it!! I’m still thinking about it…Woo-Wee. While Twilight’s New Moon has a cult following that spans the ages, the movie was just OK for me and, I liked the first one better. Having said all that I will state for the record that it’s still worth the full price of admission and you will enjoy watching it. Just don’t go expecting too much and you’ll be just fine. ~Dana Da Designated Hata® aka Nobody’s Fanâ„¢
