The Mayan’s prophesied hundreds of years ago that the world will come to an end in the year “2012â€. While many scientists chose to ignore the signs and doubted the prophecy, one of them actually discovered evidence that a global cataclysm of massive proportions was on the horizon. “2012†is a visual masterpiece that shows us the heroic struggles of mankind in the face of destruction and extinction. Yes ladies and gentlemen it’s another natural disaster movie brought to you in multi-million dollar style straight from Hollywood. If this movie sounds familiar that’s because you’ve seen it before…it was called “The Day After Tomorrowâ€. The only thing different about “2012†is that it had a bigger budget and a lot more CGI going on. So many of the action scenes were simply unbelievable in a “yeah right†kind of way. Others were a bit scary and breath taking all at the same time. This movie will certainly make you a believer of the "what if†factor if this were to really happen. All in all the movie was OK but it wasn’t all that. Don't let the box office numbers fool you, and it to top it off it was super long. I suggest that you wait to rent it and watch it in the comfort of your own home. Again, if you’ve seen “The Day After Tomorrow†you’re not missing much. ~Dana Da Designated Hata® aka Nobody’s Fanâ„¢
