Can somebody please tell me why they made a sequel to “Honey”? I mean I thought the first one was cute thanks to Jessica Alba, but it certainly wasn’t all that. I get that dance flicks never really go out of style but sometimes Hollywood just learn when to let sleeping dogs lie.

In “Honey 2” Maria Ramirez (Katerina Graham) has just been released from a juvenile detention center and decides to channel her hidden passion for dance and music in order to get up out the hood. Maria finds herself a dance crew and I’m sure that they’ll overcome all odds… blah, blah, blah.

This film also stars Mario Lopez, Audrina Patridge, Seychelle Gabrie, Laurieann Gibson and bunch of dancers. “Honey 2” probably should’ve went straight to video, but it’s going to be released into theaters in August 2011. I doubt that “Honey 2” will have a very strong following even with Katerina Graham’s “Vampire Diaries” followers. So if you’re remotely interested in seeing this flick then I suggest that you do so when it first comes out because I’m sure it’s going to have a limited release.
